Cases that settle early can resolve in a few months. Cases that go through discovery and trial in California superior court commonly take 18 months to three years.
Ask for the denial in writing with the policy provisions it relies on, keep every record of the loss, and have the policy reviewed. California insurers owe a duty of good faith, and an unreasonable denial can support a bad faith claim.
